A Tempo: Examining the Financial Impact of the Pandemic on the Arts

Several recent studies have underscored the harsh financial realities facing the arts and cultural sector after a year of pandemic shut-downs, and A Tempo (4/17) this week looks at two of these studies. Host Rachel Katz speaks with Sunil Iyengar, Director of the Office of Research and Analysis of the National Endowment for the Arts, about the state of the arts on the eve of the Covid-19 outbreak and some of the indicators a year into the pandemic, and also with Jill Robinson, CEO of TRG Arts, which released a study of the impact of the Covid-19 shut-down on box office sales in the U.S., Canada, the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
