Many choirs are finally returning to live performances after nearly two years of shut-downs because of the Covid-19 pandemic in time for the holiday season, and A Tempo this Saturdaty (12/4 at 7 pm) begins a series looking at some of the choral performances lined up this month. Host Rachel Katz will speak with Ted Sperling, Artistic Director of New York-based MasterVoices, which will perform Monday, Dec. 6 at Carnegie Hall. The program, entitled "A Joyful Noise," will also feature performances by the a cappella Gospel group Take 6, soprano Mikaela Bennett and the Northwell Health Nurse Choir. The program also includes an interview with Winnie Mele, a member of the Nurse Choir, which was a finalist on the most recent season of America's Got Talent.
