TOMS RIVER – Get stoked for the summer with infectious melodies and empowering lyrics that will get the whole family bopping. Award-winning, kindie music tour de force, Play Date will perform at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18 at the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library.

Play Date is a husband and wife duo, consisting of punk rocker Greg Attonito (of the Bouncing Souls) and singer-songwriter Shanti Wintergate. Their original, kid-friendly tunes are infused with flecks of garage rock, dancehall, pop, Americana, and pop punk. Play Date’s fun, interactive music program encourages children and their families to explore their imaginations through song and participate in a positive, creative, and empowering live musical experience together. This is children’s music that doesn’t patronize children or their grownups.

The music will last 45 minutes and will be followed by a 10-15 minute meet and green where children can get their poster signed and hi-five the band.

This program is suited for ages up to 12 years and their families.
