Wise in Time, the brainchild of DJ and producer Ian Simmonds, combines folk guitars, electric pianos and jazz influences to create a complex musical landscape. After moving from England to Germany, Simmonds recruited a talented backing band following a stint playing bass in the cultishly admired acid-jazz band The Sandals. Since then, he has released five well-received albums, fusing jazz, electronica and inspired lyrics into an instantly identifiable sound. Combining electronic jazz with sweet beats, The Ballad of Den the Men functions as chill-out music at its best, flowing seamlessly through lounge-friendly jazz, funk and dance music.
