Sounds Choral: Sept. 23 - Is All Choral Music Religious...?

Sounds Choral welcomes Deborah Simpkin King to its rotating roster of hosts this Sunday (9/23 at 2 pm). In this episode, she explores the myth that holds that all choral music is religious music.

Dr. King is Founder and Artistic Director of Ember, the pro-amchoral ensemble of Schola Cantorum on Hudson, and PROJECT: ENCORE, an international advocacy initiative in the promotion of post-premiere performances of new music.

Deborah Simpkin King, Ph.D., is a choral conductor, new music advocate, and master teacher. She plays an active role in the vibrant Manhattan choral scene and serves the national and international music community through her guest conducting and body of published work.
