A new musical explores the life of the legendary South African singer and activist Miriam Makeba, and A Tempo this Saturday (2/12 at 7 pm) speaks with its creator, Somi Kakoma. The daughter of immigrants from Uganda and Rwanda, Kakoma portrays Makeba in the production, which runs through Feb. 13 at Princeton's McCarter Theatre. The program also includes an interview with McCarter Artistic Director Sarah Rasmussen.
