As the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues, some musicians are looking for ways to support their Ukrainian colleagues. A Tempo host Rachel Katz this Saturday (4/16) interviews with two instrumentalists - organist Gail Archer and violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv - who have recorded works by Ukrainian composers and are trying to support their colleagues.

Archer will perform a benefit concert April 28 at St. Paul's Chapel at Columbia University to raise funds for humanitarian. She has been championing the organ repertoire of Eastern Europe for more than a decade, and her latest album release, recorded in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, is devoted to Ukrainian works from the past century.

Ivakhiv was born in Ukraine and has recorded works by Ukrainian composers. She recorded her latest album, which features two works by Ukrainian composers, with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine in Kyiv.
