Festival Features Variety of Contemporary Opera

A Tempo Saturday (1/6 at 7 pm) looks at some of the works that will be presented as part of this year’s Prototype Festival in New York.

This year’s Prototype Festival includes a mix of new opera and music theatre works, several of which explore themes of origin and identity, and A Tempo this week checks in on the festival. Host Rachel Katz will speak with co-founding directors and curators Beth Morrison and Kristin Marting, as well as with Illia Razumeiko, co-creator of the work Chornobyldorf, one of the works that will be presented in-person.

Rachel Katz is the host of A Tempo which airs Saturdays at 7 pm.
