A Tempo this Saturday (4/20 at 7 pm) looks at plans to rename the main concert hall in the Kimmel Center for Marian Anderson, and the Philadelphia Orchestra’s 2024-2025 season.

The main concert hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts will be rededicated in honor of contralto and civil rights icon Marian Anderson on June 8, and A Tempo host Rachel Katz this week speaks with Kimmel Center and Philadelphia Orchestra President and CEO Matias Tarnopolsky about the significance of this to the city and its community. They also discuss the orchestra’s plans for its 2024-2025 season.

Rachel Katz is the host of A Tempo which airs Saturdays at 7 pm.
