Even before Chat GPT hit the mainstream, percussionist Lisa Pegher was already wondering what possibilities artificial intelligence and other developing technologies might hold for music and musicians. Together with the Iceberg New Music collective of composers, she has put together a program that looks at the influence of technology on the evolution of percussion in the past, and how it might be used in the future to make music.
