A Tempo (7/13) looks at a new panel discussion series about how the arts and music can impact health and wellness that will precede performances by the Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center this summer.

Lincoln Center has been bringing together its various summer series under a single Summer for the City Festival and expanded its scope since 2022. As part of its inaugural season of the Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center (formerly the Mostly Mozart Festival), Lincoln Center has introduced a series of pre-concert panel discussions focusing on the interrelationship between the arts (including music) and health and wellness. A Tempo host Rachel Katz speaks with Lincoln Center Chief Artistic Officer Shanta Thake about connecting the Summer for the City Festival with broader audiences, including the arts and wellness series, and with Nisha Sajnani, Associate Professor and Director of the NYU Steinhardt Graduate Program in Drama Therapy and Co-Director of the Jameel Arts & Health Lab, who is moderating the panel discussions.

(Note - the original audio broadcast incorrectly identified Dr. Sajnani's position - she is an associate professor and Director of the NYU Steinhardt Graduate Program in Drama Therapy and Theatre & Health Lab; founder of the Arts & Health @NYU and Chair of the NYU Creative Arts Therapies Consortium. WWFM regrets the error.)

Rachel Katz is the host of A Tempo which airs Saturdays at 7 pm.
