A Tempo this week looks at the recently announced 2025-2026 season of the Philadelphia Orchestra, including some of its planned performances and guest artists. The program also includes an interview about some of the impact national policy changes might have on the arts scene in NJ.

The Philadelphia Orchestra recently announced its plans for its 2025-2026 season, which will mark both its own 125th anniversary and the beginning of 250th anniversary of the U.S., and A Tempo this week looks at what it has planned. Host Rachel Katz will speak with Jeremy Rothman, chief programming officer of the orchestra, about some of the season’s highlights.

She will also share the first part of her conversation with Adam Perle, President and CEO of the arts advocacy and support organization ArtPride New Jersey, about how some of the policy changes at the national level, such as spending cuts and the elimination of diversity programs, are impacting or may impact arts organizations in the state

Rachel Katz is the host of A Tempo which airs Saturdays at 7 pm.
