A Tempo this week (3/22) looks at the New Jersey Symphony's 2025-2026 season plans.

The New Jersey Symphony announced its 2025-2026 season on March 12, outlining a program offering both classic masterpieces of the canon and works by contemporary and previously overlooked composers. In addition, one concert will highlight American music as part of the US’ 250th anniversary celebration. Host Rachel Katz explores the season with Music Director Xian Zhang and President and CEO Terry Loftis, including how the orchestra plans to continue programs supporting conductors from underrepresented communities amid the changes in federal funding and policies.

Rachel Katz is the host of A Tempo which airs Saturdays at 7 pm.
