Classical Orchestra and Conductor Look Back on Four Decades

A Tempo (6/21) features an interview with Thomas Crawford, founder of the American Classical Orchestra.

The ensemble Thomas Crawford founded in 1984 as the Orchestra of the Old Fairfield Academy was initially intended to accompany choral works at his church. Since then it has expanded and found its niche in period performance of music from the classical era, renaming itself The American Classical Orchestra in 2005. Host Rachel Katz chats with Crawford about the origins of the orchestra, its role in the period performance world, and plans for the future.

Rachel Katz is the host of A Tempo which airs Saturdays at 7 pm.
