A Tempo Saturday (7/12) explores the Mann Center for the Performing Arts' plans to renovate its main plaza and other facilities as it prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Philadelphia's Mann Center for the Performing Arts has launched a $70 million project to create a visitor welcome center and music hall of fame, update its backstage area, and improve other facilities as it prepares to celebrate its first 50 years and looks ahead to the future. A Tempo host Rachel Katz chats with President and CEO Catherine Cahill about the venue's history, details on its renovations, and how it will mark its anniversary and the Semiquincentennial of the U.S. in the coming year.
