Opera Delaware General Director Brendan Cooke will depart at the end of the current season after nearly 15 years. During his tenure, he oversaw changes that enabled the company to present new works, explore new ways to bring opera to audiences, and launch a program that supports and nurtures young opera artists as they forge their early careers. A Tempo host Rachel Katz chats with Cooke about the challenges the company faced, including the pandemic shut-down, and some of the new programs, such as pop-up operas and small studio performances.
