This past Fall, Pianist Mackenzie Melemed set out on an ambitious tour to share an All-American program with audiences in all 50 states, marking the 250th anniversary of the U.S. The Massachusetts native selected works by Arthur Foote, Amy Beach, Edward MacDowell, Aaron Copland, Louis-Moreau Gottschalk, Florence Price and Ned Rorem, along with pieces by contemporary composers Laura Kaminsky and Avner Dorman, and has lined up recitals in 35 states so far through 2028.
