Opera Delaware’s Pop-up Opera Initiative, which has visited schools, parks, museums, and even a brewery, and its Company Artist program, which provides full-time employment for opera artists early in their career, were just two aspects of the company that attracted Eric Einhorn to become its next General Director. As co-founder and former artistic director of On-Site Opera in New York, he had helped bring opera to unusual venues to engage with a diverse cross-section of audiences.
A Tempo Host Rachel Katz chats with Einhorn, who starts his new role Aug. 1, about the possiblities of expanding upon Opera Delaware's existing strengths and programs.
