As the new Georg and Joyce Albers-Schonberg Assistant Conductor of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, Tomás García is preparing to serve both as
cover to Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov, filling in for rehearsals and performances as needed, and also as conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra ensemble of the Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey, with which the PSO created a partnership in 2020.
A Tempo host Rachel Katz talks with García about his new role, as well as with PSO Executive Director Marc Uys and Symphonic Orchestra Principal Cellist Alex Fiszer, about the role of youth orchestras in the community.
