The Rutgers Glee Club will perform a work in memory of Tyler Clementi, who was a Rutgers University freshman in 2010 when he became the victim of cyberbullying and took his life just weeks after the semester began. A Tempo host Rachel Katz speaks with Brandon Williams, Director of Choral Activities at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts, about the work, called Tyler's Suite, commissioned by the Tyler Clementi Foundation founded by his family.
The program also remembers Richard Tang Yuk, who passed away Oct. 23 in his native Trinidad and Tobago. He founded the Princeton Festival in 2004 and served as its Artistic and Executive Director until 2020. The Festival merged with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra the following year. Rachel speaks with Thomas Lento, who was a Festival board member and is on the symphony's Advisory Board.
