This week's episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys is entirely given over to the music of Franz Liszt.
"I've taken the exact playlist of works that I presented on a previous all-Liszt Between the Keys episode, and substituted alternative performances," explains Jed Distler, creator, producer and host of Between the Keys, as well as The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence.
"And I'll post webcasts for both episodes, so that listeners can compare and contrast different interpretations of the same works. Piano mavens like myself can't resist comparative listening!"
Featured pianists this week include Sophia Agranovich, Murray Perahia, Claudio Arrau, Michele Campanella, Nelson Freire, Geza Anda, Jeffrey Swann, Joseph Moog, Yue Wang and Jeanne-Marie Darré.
