On this week's episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor/Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys, The Classical Network's Artist in Residence Jed Distler pays tribute to the revered and iconic pianist Menahem Pressler, who died on May 6th at the age of 99.
Rather than feature Pressler at the helm of his influential ensemble The Beaux Arts Trio, Distler instead will explore his often overlooked legacy of solo piano recordings, with works by Mozart, Debussy, Shostakovich, Grieg, Villa-Lobos and Schubert.
Tune in to Between the Keys this Tuesday night at ten, with the rebroadcast Wednesday at noon, exclusively on The Classical Network and WWFM.org
