You know the "three Bs." Bach, Beethoven and Brahms.
But what about the "seven Bs" featured on this week's episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor/Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys, hosted by The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler?
"Well, why not," asks Distler. "I've built a program featuring seven very diverse composers, each of whose last name begins with the letter B. There's nothing profound or meaningful about that decision. It's just a whim. Yet I know you'll enjoy the music, and how the selections flow from one to another."
The seven composers are William Byrd, Luciano Berio, Marion Bauer, William Bolcom, Victoria Barnes, Richard Rodney Bennett and Grazyna Bacewicz.
