Unlike many Between the Keys episodes, this week's program has no theme. "Basically I just pulled down CDs from my collection at random," says The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler, who is Between the Keys' creator, producer and host. "Sometimes when I seemingly start from nothing, a selection will subliminally suggest another, and pretty soon a fluid, fairly well-contrasted play list emerges."
This week's selections include Jeffrey Le Deur playing Rameau, Stephanie McCallum playing Alkan, music of Ron Mazurek and Howard Rovics, Aldo Ciccolini live in concert playing Debussy, Michel Dalberto in Mozart and a flamboyant Chopin Waltz performance by Stanislaw Bunin.
