The ASCAP Deems Taylor/Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys first aired in March 2015 with a pilot episode commemorating J. S Bach’s birthday.
The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler, who is Between the Keys' creator, producer and host, continues the Bach birthday tradition to mark his program's anniversary.
Episode 456 features selections from The Well-Tempered Clavier Books I and II with women whose careers span more than 100 years of Bach pianism. Artists include Alexandra Papastefanou, Evelyne Crochet, Elsie Hall, Angela Hewitt, Enrica Cavallo, Tatiana Nikolayeva, Freida Kwast-Hodapp, Rosalyn Tureck, Harriet Cohen, Dina Ugorskaja and Ewa Poblocka.
