In September 2023 The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler was a visiting teacher-in-residence at the Festival Musical Durtal in western France, where pianist Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy leads international master classes.
Says Jed, " Working alongside Wolfram with six gifted pianists was a most rewarding and fulfilling experience, culminating in a concert where these pianists showcased their diverse talents."
Thanks to the festival’s artistic director Pierric Guennégan, Between the Keys is proud to present memorable highlights from the Durtal performances on this week's episode, featuring pianists Jan Cmejla, Théotime Gilllot and Jeyu Lee. And we’ll also hear from Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy himself in both performance and conversation.
