Back on October 27th 2015, The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler presented an episode of Between the Keys called “Playing Against Type.” It featured pianists playing repertoire in which they were not usually associated. Jed's been wanting to do a follow-up episode on the same topic, and has finally gotten around to it!
Included on this program are Guiomar Novaes playing Beethoven, Alfred Brendel in Prokofiev, Wilhelm Backhaus' Moszkowski, Glenn Gould's controversial Ravel La Valse, and other unlikely selections.
