Youri Egorov Birthday Celebration

Youri Egorov (1954-1988) rose to international prominence for his virtuosity and musicianship in the late 1970s, only to die of AIDS at the tragically young age of 33. On this week's episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor/Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys, The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler explores this great pianist's legacy of studio recordings and archival live performances with works by Bach, Haydn, Brahms, Chopin, Schumann and Schubert.

Tune in for this special Youri Egorov 70th birthday tribute on Friday afternoon at 3:00 PM, with the rebroadcast Saturday evening at 6:00 PM, exclusively on The Classical Network and WWFM.org.
