This week’s episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor/Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys presents another in a series of programs devoted to pianists you should know.
“There are so many wonderful pianists whose names may not be familiar to our listeners, yet who undoubtedly deserve attention,” says The Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler, the producer, creator and host for Between the Keys. “So from time to time I devote a program that hopefully will draw attention to their artistry. It’s important for worthy voices to be heard and supported, don’t you agree? And that includes pianists of the past, as well as today’s performers.”
For this fifth of Distler’s Pianists You Should Know” programs, the featured artists include Elena Kuschnerova , Sanna Vaarni, Ethel Leginska, Etelka Freund, Can Çakmur, Yara Bernette, Pi Hsien Chen, Francesco Granata and Julian von Karolyi.
