This week, we have an hour of crossover songs, Broadway, movie and pop, even one country song performed, by Jessye Norman, Bryn Terfel, Mario Delmonaco, Richard Tucker and Dawn Upshaw. Armed with the love of this kind of music and a set of arrangements, almost always special to the singers, opera singers of a certain stature record a crossover album. These performances are never less than interesting, and often, they are wonderful, if sometimes far removed from the original style of the songs.
