Host Ethan Sperry looks back on the legacy of German composer, conductor and musicologist Clytus Gottwald, who produced a cappella transcriptions of music by composers who wrote little or no choral music, including Frederic Chopin, Gustav Mahler, Alban Berg and Hugo Wolf. Sperry shares recordings of some of these transcriptions by Gottwald, who passed away this past January. Listen at 2 pm.
