Music of Fauré on Sounds Choral

A survey of the French composer's choral output on Sounds Choral this Sunday (12/14 at 2 pm).

Host Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek shares some of Gabriel Fauré's choral music, both sacred and secular, including his Madrigal, Pavanne and excerpts from his Requiem.

There will be an encore broadcast Tuesday (12/16) at 3 pm.

Sounds Choral is the recipient of the 2024 ASCAP Deems Taylor/Virgil Thomson Broadcast/Media Award in concert music.

Dr. Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, mezzo-soprano, is a singer, conductor, educator, and composer. Dr. Horner-Kwiatek holds a D.M.A. from The Juilliard School and is on the Performance Faculty at Princeton University where she teaches voice. She is also the Director of Early Music Princeton Singers and is Associate Director of the Vocal Consort Certification Program. In addition, she is on the voice faculty at New York University and teaches music history and appreciation classes at The Juilliard School Extension Division.
