Tempesta di Mare Concert Features Music From Venice and Naples

It's 'A Tale of Two Italian Cities' this Friday (10/21) in this performance by the Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra Tempesta di Mare.

The Tempesta di Mare Chamber Players perform the music of Venitian composers Vivaldi, Giovanni Legrenzi and Dario Castello, and Neapolitans Alessandro Scarlatti, Andrea Falconieri and Francesco Mancini in this performance titled "A Tale of two Italian Cities." Founding members and co-Artistic Directors Gwyn Roberts and Richard Stone join host David Osenberg in introducing this concert. Listen at 8 pm.

(Note: In lieu of Millennium of Music, this concert broadcast will be followed by a second concert, from the Institute of Advanced Study, featuring American singer, composer harpist and scholar Benjamin Bagby reciting the ancient Anglo Saxon text and story of the hero Beowulf, from 10 pm to midnight).
