This week's broadcast concert wraps up a four-part series of performances from the 34th Raritan River Music Festival held this past May, featuring The Mohawk Trail Piano Trio. The program includes a movement from Florence Price's Piano Sonata in E-minor and Fantasie No. 1 in G minor for Violin and Piano, and Anton Arensky's Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor. The Mohawk Trail Piano Trio's members - violinist Masako Yanagita (Japan), cellist Mark Fraser (Canada), and pianist Estela Olevsky (Argentina) - are among the international soloists and chamber music specialists connected with the Mohawk Trail Concerts in Western Massachusetts.
The Raritan River Music Festival was founded by and is curated by the guitar duo of Laura Oltman and Michael Newman.
