Time For Three Performs at the PSO’s March Concert

The Grammy-winning trio Time for Three joins the orchestra for this concert Friday (5/3 at 8 pm) featuring Contact by Kevin Puts, which won the Pulitzer Prize and two Grammy Awards.

The trio Time For Three - double bassist Ranaan Meyer and violinists Nick Kendall and Charles Yang - joins the orchestra to perform Kevin Puts' triple concerto Contact, which was written for the ensemble. Rossen Milanov conducts this concert, which also includes music drawn from ballets of the 1930s - a suite from The Fire Dancer by the little-known Bulgarian composer Marin Goleminov, and then selections from Sergei Prokofiev’s masterpiece Romeo & Juliet.

*Due to the length of this broadcast Millennium of Music with Robert Aubry Davis will begin at 11 pm, one hour later than usual.
