Music of Rachmaninoff and Berlioz on NJ Symphony Concert Broadcast

Guest conductor Gemma New leads the New Jersey Symphony on this concert broadcast Monday (5/6 at 8 pm).

In this concert recording from just about a year ago, Pianist Georg Li joins the orchestra as the soloist in Sergei Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini. New Zealand-born conductor Gemma New also leads the New Jersey Symphony in Hector Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique, and warp & weft by the young American composer Sarah Gibson. New served the NJ Symphony as both the Assistant Conductor from 2009 to 2013, and then as the Associate Conductor from 2013 to 2016.
