An American Celebration with The Knights Monday Night

The Brooklyn-based chamber orchestra performs an American-themed concert on this broadcast Monday (7/1 at 8 pm).

This concert broadcast features a re-imaging of Dvorak’s American String Quartet by violinist/composer Curtis Stewart and Knights’ concertmaster Colin Jacobsen. The main work of the concert is a tour-de-force, one-person monodrama about a record store convention in San Diego 20+ years ago and ending with meeting an iconic film star, all coming from the very fertile imagination of mandolinist, vocalist and composer and special guest, Chris Thiele. There is also some Bach… which has turned into a tradition for this annual American-themed concert. David Osenberg is joined by conductor Eric Jacobson and violinist Colin Jacbson, co-founders of The Knights, as co-hosts.

David Osenberg is WWFM Partnership Manager, WWFM Music Director, Afternoon Host, and Host of award-winning Cadenza.
