A Baroque ‘Pops’ Concert from Tempesta di Mare on Monday Night Broadcast

Andrew Kahl/Andrew Kahl / Wonderful Machine

The Philadelphia-based Baroque Ensemble performs works by Vivaldi and Handel on this broadcast concert Monday (9/23) at 8 pm, with an encore broadcast Saturday (9/28) at 2 pm.

The Classical Network in Concert this week brings another concert from one of our longtime broadcast partners, the Philadelphia-based Baroque Orchestra Tempesta di Mare. We’ll hear a concert from last Fall featuring music of two of the best known composers from that era - Antonio Vivaldi and George Frederic Handel. Half the performance will be two of the three suites from Handel that we know as The Water Music. Co-founders and artistic directors of Tempesta Di Mare - Gwyn Roberts and Richard Stone - join David Osenberg as co-hosts.

David Osenberg is WWFM Partnership Manager, WWFM Music Director, Afternoon Host, and Host of award-winning Cadenza.
