Hear Bard College’s The Orchestra Now (TON) season opener concert on this broadcast Monday (10/7)

Enjoy another broadcast of one of the most dynamic young orchestras around - TON, or The Orchestra Now - made up of young musicians from across the globe’s great music conservatories & schools, based at Bard College and led by their Music Director and longtime President of Bard, Maestro Leon Botstein. This concert kicked off the 10th Anniversary Season of TON and took place just a few weeks ago at the ensemble’s home at Bard College. It presents the very late Romanticism of Germanic music: Gustav Mahler’s beloved Symphony No. 4, Arnold Schoenberg’s Five Pieces for Orchestra and the Four Last Songs by Richard Strauss with special guest soloist soprano Jana McIntyre.
