Conductor Leon Botstein and The Orchestra Now perform at Carnegie Hall in November 2024.

Leon Botstein leads the orchestra in this concert Monday (2/3 at 2 pm, with an encore broadcast Saturday 2/8 at 2 pm) from last November, part of TON's festival marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of this American composer.

The Orchestra Now, comprised of young musicians from some of the great conservatories and music schools around the world and based at Bard College, is joined by leading Charles Ives scholar J. Peter Burkholder and baritone William Sharp in this celebration of Ives's music. Bard President and TON Music Director Leon Botstein conducts this performance, which includes the composer's 2nd Symphony, and also the artistry of pianist Donald Berman in other Ives works.

David Osenberg is WWFM Partnership Manager, WWFM Music Director, Afternoon Host, and Host of award-winning Cadenza.
