This performance from February features works in transcription by Beethoven, Chopin, and Smetana. Listen Monday (4/7) at 8 pm.

The Orchestra Now (TON), comprised of students from among the top conservatories and music schools, performs three orchestral transcriptions of works by master composers - Mily Balakirev's transcription of four Chopin works; Felix Weingartner's orchestration of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 29, the Hammerklavier; and George Szell's transcription of Smetana's E-minor String Quartet, From My Life. Music Director and Bard College President Leon Botstein conducts.
