The Orchestra Now Takes Stage in Friday Night Broadcast

Members of Bard College's The Orchestra Now perform works by Kaija Saariaho and Alberic Magnard on this broadcast Friday (5/16 at 8 pm).

The Classical Network's Friday evening concert broadcast features the April 5 performance by The Orchestra Now (TON), which included Laterna Musica by the recently-departed Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho, inspired by filmmaker Ingmar Bergman, and the Symphony No. 3 by the turn-of- the 20 th Century French composer Alberic Magnard. Based at Bard College and led by their Music Director and longtime President of Bard Maestro Leon Botstein, TON is made up of young musicians from across the globe’s great music conservatories & schools.
