Highlights from the Strings Festival Feature Mahler, Strauss Debussy

This first part of a two-week series features works by three major composers from the first decades of the 20^th century: Claude Debussy’ revolutionary Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun; the String Sextet from Richard Strauss’ conversational opera Capriccio; and a new chamber version of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 4. David Osenberg hosts this program and preview of this year’s Festival, which begins on June 28th.
