Music of 'Our City, Our People’ from the North Brunswick Chamber Orchestra

This broadcast Monday (11/17 at 8 pm) features a recent performance celebrating the rich and diverse population in and around New Brunswick.

This diverse concert by the New Brunswick Chamber Orchestra included the very American Appalachian Spring Suite in its original 13 instrument version by Aaron Copland, a work featuring the Indian drum the tabla in a work for tabla and orchestra by a British composer who resides in Singapore, music that takes its inspiration from two traditional Philippino lullabies, and the infectious rhythms of the dance from Mexican composer Arturo Marquez. Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. Julia Baumanis joins David Osenberg to co-host this broadcast.

David Osenberg is WWFM Partnership Manager, WWFM Music Director, Afternoon Host, and Host of award-winning Cadenza.
