We celebrate with our fourth Annual ‘Americana’ Concert as assembled from live performances by the outstanding Brooklyn-based chamber orchestra The Knights at the Naumburg Band Shell in Central Park June 23. This program of all-American music features the quintessential American violinist Tessa Lark in the New York premiere of the Violin Concerto No. 2 PULSE by Lisa Bielawa, music of The Knights’ member Christina Courtin, Caroline Shaw’s work setting a beloved children’s story narrated by Jamie Bernstein, well-known music of Barber, and also Paul Simon as arranged by Colin Jacobsen, the ensemble's Violinist and Co-Artistic Director. Colin and his brother Eric Jacobson, the ensemble's conductor, join David Osenberg as co-hosts for this unique musical celebration of the America we live in today.
(There will be an encore broadcast of this program on Saturday, July 4 at 2 pm)
