For many, November is the month of “thanks,” so on this week’s Dress Circle (11/13 7:00 p.m.) we’re airing the first of three programs offering our thanks.
We’re beginning with a remembrance of an actress we’ve loved for many years and are incredibly thankful for having seen her on stage as well as big and small screens.
Angela Lansbury passed away on October 11 of this year, just five days short of her 93rd birthday.
Ted is thankful for having seen her in “Anyone Can Whistle,” “Gypsy,” “Mame,” and “Dear World” among others, and for Michael, her appearance in “Sweeney Todd” is still a performance by which all others will be judged. (That was another favorite of Ted’s as well!)
Along with these, we’ll include songs from other stage works “A Little Night Music” and “ Prettybelle” as well as her film and TV appearances in “Till The Clouds Roll By,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Mrs. Santa Claus.”
Join us as we say “Thank you” to this wonderful performer who gave us such joy in a career lasting eight decades.
