A pupil of legendary pedagogue Nadia Boulanger, Adolphus Hailstork was longtime composer-in-residence at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Tune in for his uplifting oratorio, Done Made My Vow, inspired in part by Martin Luther King’s speeches, and the rhythmically exciting Variations for Trumpet. The music is hale, but the sentiments are King, this Sunday at 10 pm.
