William Warfield's focused his singing on concerts and recitals, but his career is forever identified with the musical Show Boat and with America's best opera, Porgy and Bess. This week on the Lyric Stage he sings lieder, oratorio and the beloved music of Kern and Gershwin, as well as songs from Aaron Copland's American song book.
