What Makes It Great Swings into the 30s and 40s

Get into the swing of the Big Band era with Host Rob Kapilow this Monday (10/23 at 8 pm).

In this first What Makes it Great of the 2023-2024 season, host Rob Kapilow immerses us in the music that was the rage of the 1930s & 40s with “Swing! Get ready to tap your toes as Rob welcomes the Manhattan School of Music Jazz Repertory Band and its director -vthe outstanding jazz trumpeter/conductor Jon Faddis.

This performance was recorded earlier this month at WMIG’s home venue, Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Music Center in New York.
