Music by Golijov on What Makes it Great Monday

Host Rob Kapilow turns his focus to Osvaldo Golijov's The Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind on this broadcast Monday (3/23 at 8 pm).

Composer, conductor, author & commentator Rob Kapilow welcomed the Ivalas String Quartet and clarinetist David Krakauer as his guest artists in this performance, recorded last December at the home of What Makes It Great, Merkin Hall at the Kaufmann Music Center in Midtown Manhattan.

This is the first WMIG in our 10 years of broadcasting Kapilow's program that features a work by a living composer, the Argentinian Osvaldo Golijov. He wrote this work for clarinet and strings in 1994.

David Osenberg is WWFM Partnership Manager, WWFM Music Director, Afternoon Host, and Host of award-winning Cadenza.
